In an incident in violation of the Yemeni Press and Publications Law, the Court of First Instance in Ma’rib Governorate, in its session held yesterday, Monday, ordered the Public Prosecution in the governorate to pursue and arrest the editor-in-chief of Al-Masdar Online, Ali Al-Faqih

   The Public Prosecution in Ma’rib Governorate, in violation of the law, approved on the eighth of last June 2023 AD the referral of a number of journalists to trial on charges of publishing false information and news.

It said that they had committed crimes including defamation and misleading the judiciary, which It targeted a number of judges, members of the prosecution, and employees of the judicial authority based on a report submitted by a number of those who were defamed, contrary to the truth and in violation of their journalistic duties, which were supposed to obtain correct information from reliable sources and convey it to the public honestly without distortion.
Journalists deny these accusations. They say it's fabricated.
