In a horrific incident that shook Al-Azariq in Al-Dhalea Governorate, a person named Raafat Fadl Hammoud, a resident of Hubail Al-Bin, shot his mother, wounding her seriously, requiring her to be transported to the capital, Aden, to receive treatment.

According to local sources, they said: But his crime did not stop there. During his attempt to escape, he forcefully stopped a motorcycle owner named Mithaq Abdullah Qayed, and forced him to ride with him. When they reached the Qard area, Raafat killed the bike owner in cold blood.

After he attempted to escape, residents of one of the Jahaf areas were able to arrest him and hand him over to Al-Dhalea security. 

This incident is considered one of the most heinous crimes witnessed in the region, and raises many questions about the perpetrator’s motives and the reasons that prompted him to commit such horrific crimes.
