The Standards and Metrology Authority rejects spoiled frozen chicken and other violating products in Aden and Taiz

The Yemeni Authority for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control, through its office in the free zone port in the temporary capital, Aden, rejected 2,121 cartons of frozen chicken, Fiduccia brand, of Brazilian origin, that were in violation of the specifications due to the low degree of cooling in the containers, which led to the blood of the product and the appearance of harmful bacteria.
20 cartons of multi-flavored soft drinks (lemon, cola) were rejected, as they did not comply with specifications due to defects in the containers.
Through its branch in Taiz Governorate, the Authority seized and destroyed 70,000 cartons of tomato paste that violated the standard specifications within the expiration period. The destruction was carried out with the participation of the relevant authorities.
