An official source in the Office of the Presidency of the Republic stated that the Chairman and members of the Presidential Leadership Council unanimously rejected the resignation of the Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen, Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Maqbi.

The source said that the bank governor has rescinded his decision to resign and remains in his position with the full support of the Leadership Council and the government to continue comprehensive banking reform efforts supported by brothers and friends.

The source called on the media to take into account the sensitivity of dealing with issues related to the banking sector, the financial and business community, and the societal interests and responsibilities resulting from them.
