The Public Prosecution carried out this morning, Tuesday, in the courtyard of the central prison in Ma’rib Governorate, the ruling of legal retaliation against the convict, Nour al-Din Abdul-Ghani Ahmed al-Iryani, for intentionally and aggressively killing the victim, Abdul-Jabbar Jaber Saleh al-Shabwani.

The sentence was executed by firing squad to death after attempts were made to persuade and encourage the victim's blood relatives to forgive and pardon, and after the blood relatives refused and the judgment and execution document were read.

The execution of the death sentence was supervised by the Deputy Prosecutor of Ma’rib, Judge Abdul Aziz Awaidan, in accordance with the ruling issued by the Ma’rib Court of First Instance in Case No. 57 of 2022 AD, J.J. And the ruling of the Court of Appeal M / Marib No. 11 of the year 1444 dated 3 Safar 1444 AH corresponding to 8/30/2022 AD and the final decision of the Supreme Court of the Criminal Circuit dated 28 Jumada Akhir 1445 corresponding to 8/31/2023, and the report and approval of the Attorney General and the Chairman of the Presidential Command Council.

For his part, the Deputy Prosecutor of Ma’rib, Abdul Aziz Owaidan, stated the rulings. The implementation of these rulings came after the fruit of the efforts made by His Excellency the Public Prosecutor, Judge Qaher Mustafa Ali, and his keenness to speed up the procedures by ratifying before His Excellency the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, which fulfilled the blood guardians’ right to legal retribution from the convict in compliance.
