Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council and President of the National Assembly, met today, Wednesday, with the leadership of the General Association of Southern Civilian Retirees, headed by Hisham Abdo Saeed Al-Sufi.
The meeting discussed the conditions of civilian retirees and the difficult living conditions they endure, the issues of those forcibly deported and those laid off from their jobs since the invasion of the south in the summer of 1994, and what retirees face as a result of being deprived of health insurance, settlements, and the cessation of the retirement fund.
The President of the National Assembly stressed the interest of the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council, headed by President Commander Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, with all retired and forcibly deported southern civilians and military personnel, following up on their issues and rights, and working to find comprehensive treatments and solutions for them with the relevant authorities, enabling them to obtain their full entitlements. undiminished, as a small portion in return for the strenuous efforts they made in serving the nation.
Al-Kathiri stressed the importance of strengthening the work of the Association of Retired Civilians by communicating with government institutions and authorities with jurisdiction to recover their financial rights, expressing the readiness of the National Assembly, through its competent committees, to work with the Association of Retirees in a way that helps it accomplish its tasks with all efficiency and ability.
