The Deputy Security Director of the Jabal Habashi Directorate, west of the city of Taiz, Major - Farouk Saeed Al-Ridwani, was subjected to an assassination attempt on Monday afternoon in the Al-Jarin area, the Bani Issa Jabal Habashi district, located west of the city of Taiz, while he was assigned a work mission to arrest some people who were out of order and the law, and they opened fire on him. And he miraculously survived it. 

A security source said that those who attempted to infiltrate him and orchestrate his assassination were three people: Rashad Hazza Ghalib, Abdel Hafez Abdel Qawi, and Adeeb Muhammad Muhammad, residents of the village of Al-Jarin, Jabal Habashi, trying to hinder his mission and security duty.

The source confirmed that the gunmen ambushed him and opened fire on him, trying to cut him off and assassinate him, with the intention of killing and hiding those wanted by security forces and weakening the security work. He called on the General Administration of the Taiz Police, the Criminal Investigation Department, and the Taiz Appeals Prosecution to do their duty, arrest the assailants, and refer them to the judiciary to receive their deterrent punishment as a result. They disturb public peace, undermine security and stability, and tamper with public and private property.
