Yemeni Coast Guard forces arrested more than 100 migrants coming from the Horn of Africa via a smuggling boat, on the coast of Shabwa Governorate, southeast of the country.
The Security Media Center of the Ministry of Interior in the internationally recognized government said that a force affiliated with the The Coast Guard in Shabwa Governorate seized 150 migrants from the Horn of Africa on the coast of Bir Ali in Radum District.
The Center quoted the Coast Guard as saying that these migrants entered the country illegally via a boat belonging to smugglers, who landed them on the coast of Bir Ali.
He added that these migrants were gathered in a special refugee camp in the governorate under the supervision of representatives from the Coast Guard and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
