The Houthi militia, as a whole, has doubled the suffering of the Yemenis with every disaster or problem that Yemen suffers from. Recently, torrential rains and rainwater in Hodeidah Governorate revealed that the Houthi group had planted thousands of anti-armour and anti-personnel mines in large areas of Hodeidah Governorate.

The floodwaters washed away hundreds of mines that became clearly visible, and which the Houthi group worked hard to plant over the years.

The rainwater represented an additional occasion in which the extent of the Houthi group’s deliberate harm to people and its spending of hundreds of millions of dollars on mines that it planted throughout the various Yemeni governorates was revealed.
