The weather forecast predicted that heavy rain would continue in most of the country’s governorates.
The bulletin issued by the National Center of Meteorology said that the country’s mountainous highlands would witness partly cloudy to cloudy weather with rain of varying intensity accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds. With hailstones falling on parts of the governorates of (Saada, Hajjah, Amran, Al-Mahwit, Sana’a, Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb and Al-Dhale’).
It was also expected that rain of varying intensity would fall, perhaps accompanied by thunder at times, on parts of the governorates of (Taiz, Al-Bayda, The highlands of Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramaut and Al-Mahra), with fog or water rusk forming on the western highlands.
She indicated that the country’s coastal regions will witness a partly cloudy, relatively dusty and hot atmosphere with maximum temperatures ranging between (32 - 37 degrees Celsius). The winds are very strong around the Socotra Archipelago, with a maximum speed of 45 knots, and moderate to very strong winds on the eastern, southern and western coasts, causing dust and sand, with thunderstorms of varying intensity falling on parts of the western coasts and the Tihama Plain, and scattered rains that may be accompanied by thunder sometimes on the eastern, southern and western coasts.
In the desert areas, a clear to partly cloudy atmosphere was expected, with high temperatures during the day, with a maximum between (36 - 41 degrees Celsius), with the possibility of scattered rain falling in parts of the governorates of (Al-Mahra, Hadhramaut, Shabwa, Al-Jawf and Ma’rib) and moderate winds. Speeding sometimes increases, causing dirt and dust.
I warned citizens in areas where rain is expected to be careful and careful not to be in the depths of valleys and flood streams during and after the rain, and to beware of thunderstorms, strong blowing winds, and falling hailstones.
