The Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Abdullah Badib promised that the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology is currently working on establishing a cybersecurity center, which aims to enhance digital protection for individuals and institutions in the country.

This announcement came in the context of his comment on the recent cyber attacks that resulted in the leaking of girls’ photos, which he described as reprehensible and strongly unacceptable.

These incidents raise the grave concern of the Ministry of Communications, which should not hesitate to provide the necessary support to serve the community through the official channels available in cooperation with the security and judicial agencies, and that this center to be established will form a cornerstone for confronting cyber threats and enhancing digital security.
