The Executive Unit for the Management of Displaced Persons' Camps in Ma'rib Governorate revealed, this evening, Sunday, preliminary statistics on the extent of the losses caused by the heavy rains that the governorate witnessed during the past hours among the displaced people, which caused the death and injury of 14 displaced people.
The Executive Unit stated in the preliminary statistics that the heavy rains, thunderstorms, and strong winds that the governorate witnessed caused the death of 4 displaced people, and the injury of 10 others, including children and women.
She indicated that the torrents caused by heavy rains flowed heavily into the camps for the displaced and caused damage to the shelters of 7,179 displaced families, of which 2,973 shelters were completely damaged, and 4,206 shelters were partially damaged in several camps in the governorate.. She called on her partners to quickly provide relief aid. Of urgent shelter and food supplies for affected families, and to contribute to protecting the displaced and their camps from rain, torrents, floods, storms and natural disasters.
