Gunmen affiliated with the Iranian Houthi gang targeted, on Monday, a committee affiliated with the Social Fund for Development and another committee for a local project, with an armed ambush, in the “Yahir” isolation in the Al-Rudma District, northeast of Ibb Governorate.
Local sources reported that the gang members set up an armed ambush and opened fire on the committee, causing injuries to its members, indicating that the gang wanted to prevent a committee affiliated with the Social Fund from arriving in the project area to receive the project, but they were forced to return and leave the area< /p>
She explained that the committee came to the region to receive the headquarters of a solar energy project to operate the water project in the “Yahir” area in Al-Rudma District, to begin implementing the project funded by the Social Fund.
She explained that the Houthis had previously failed to control the project after holding community elections in Yahyar isolation to choose a committee to manage the water project in the region.
According to the sources, the incident attracted widespread dissatisfaction among the people of the region, who demanded that the concerned authorities arrest the gang and facilitate the arrival of the committee affiliated with the Social Fund, which came to the region to implement the project that will benefit the people of the region.
