The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) warned of the risk of severe floods in Yemen during the coming days, which could lead to serious damage to agricultural crops and infrastructure.
The organization said in a weather bulletin, “Yemen faces the risk of severe floods during The next ten days in the governorates of Ibb, Dhamar, Sana'a, Amran, Al-Hudaydah and Hajjah.
She added that "the central highlands and southern highlands of Yemen face a great risk of extended floods during the same period."
Heavy rains and accompanying floods are expected to cause Serious damage to agricultural crops, according to the bulletin.
FAO warned that “fragile housing conditions are at risk of destruction, which may lead to casualties, and inadequate sanitation systems in urban areas may collapse, damaging infrastructure, and disrupting Means of transportation, and failure of communications networks.”
