A member of the Presidential Command Council, Major General Faraj al-Bahsani, commented on the decision of the Chairman of the Presidential Command Council to form a presidential committee to address Hadhramaut issues, expressing his condemnation in a tweet on Twitter.
Al-Bahsani, who also serves as Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council, wrote: “There is no point in forming committees to solve Hadhramaut’s problems in this way, as this is considered a dilution of the governorate’s issues and a waste of time. The solution lies in making direct decisions or calling for an emergency meeting of the Leadership Council.” Presidential Council to discuss the crisis seriously and firmly, otherwise, it will be of no use.”
Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, had directed yesterday to form a presidential committee to consider the demands of the people of Hadhramaut Governorate, and to submit proposals to resolve them in accordance with the law, based on the declared commitments and understandings with the local authority and the political components in the governorate.
The presidential committee included Dr. Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, Ministers Salem bin Brik, Tariq Al-Akbari, Sheikh Saleh Salem Al-Amiri, Sheikh Abdullah Saleh Al-Kathiri, Major General Abdul Rahim Ahmed Ateeq, Sheikh Marouf bin Abdullah Baabad, and Sheikh Saleh bin Omar Al-Sharafi. And Dr. Muhammad Salem Bahbari.
He directed that the committee be empowered to carry out its full tasks in the public interest of the people of the governorate, and to strengthen the role of its local authority.
