Today, US Central Command announced that its forces succeeded in destroying a missile system belonging to the Houthi group in an area under their control in Yemen.

The operation, which was carried out over the past 24 hours, targeted an Iranian-backed missile system that posed an imminent threat to US and coalition forces as well as commercial ships in the region.

The US Central Command explained in its statement that this measure comes within the framework of ongoing efforts to protect freedom of navigation and ensure the security of international waters.

She confirmed that the operation was completed successfully without any losses, stressing that the American forces will continue to take the necessary measures to protect their interests and the interests of their partners in the region.

In addition, the British Maritime Trade Operations Organization (UKMTO) announced today serious developments in the attack on the oil tanker “SOUNION” in the Red Sea two days ago. 

According to the organization, three huge fires broke out on board the tanker, which led to it losing control and beginning to drift in international waters.
