The Rasd Center for Rights and Development revealed that the terrorist Houthi militias, supported by the Iranian regime, committed more than 12,557 cases of violations in Al-Bayda Governorate during the period from January 2015 to July 2024.
The Center explained in its fifth periodic report entitled (Life of Oppression) that it monitored and documented the killing of 693 civilians, the injury of 713 others, including women and children, 2,950 cases of arrest and kidnapping, 421 cases of threats, abuse, and prevention of movement, and more than 6,516 cases of displacement and deportation, and more. Of 1,280 cases of violation of private and public property.
The report documented that more than 6,516 people fled the fighting... indicating that 484,423 people are in urgent need of humanitarian aid and protection, which represents 58 percent of the governorate’s population.
The Center confirmed that the terrorist Houthi militias continued to commit serious violations against civilians, infrastructure, and public and private property, which led to the exacerbation of the humanitarian crisis...noting that thousands of civilians face risks to their safety and basic rights.
In its report, the Center touched on the horrific crime committed by the terrorist Houthi militia, on March 19, 2024, by bombing a house, which resulted in the demolition of five neighboring houses and the occurrence of civilian casualties.
The center called for an end to the attacks, indiscriminate bombing, and planting of mines and explosive devices, and for investigation, accountability, and punishment of those who caused the killing, injury, and attacks on property and individuals... demanding urgent international action to protect civilians.
