Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz, on Thursday, appointed Major General Fahd Al-Salman to lead the joint forces of the Riyadh-led coalition in Yemen, succeeding General Mutlaq Al-Azima.
The Saudi News Agency, SPA, reported that Al-Azima was referred for retirement and appointed as an advisor to the Royal Court.
The dismissed team assumed command of the military forces of the coalition supporting the internationally recognized Yemeni government, in September 2020, as Chargé d'Affaires, before being officially appointed, on October 15, 2021.
