The European Union warned of a potential environmental catastrophe as a result of the Houthi attack on the Sono oil tanker.
European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said on Friday that the Houthi attack on the Sounion oil tanker could lead to an environmental disaster.
According to Reuters, Borrell stressed the need to find a successful solution to prevent the cessation of shipping through the Red Sea due to Houthi attacks.
In a related context, the leader of the Houthi movement, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, revealed, on Thursday, details of a Yemeni naval force operation that resulted in the bombing of a ship in the Red Sea, describing it as a “daring and courageous” operation.
