The Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Dr. Shaye’ Al-Zindani, met today, in a series of separate meetings, with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Yemen, Mohammed Al Zaabi, and the Deputy Head of the Middle East and North Africa Department in the European Union External Action Service, Rosa Maria Gilly and her accompanying delegation.
In his meeting with the Emirati ambassador, the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries were reviewed, and mechanisms for enhancing joint cooperation in various fields were discussed. Minister Al-Zindani praised the UAE’s continued support for Yemen, stressing the depth of historical relations between the two peoples.
In his meeting with the European delegation, cooperation relations between Yemen and the European Union were discussed, and ways to strengthen and develop them to serve common interests. The humanitarian and development interventions provided by the European Union to Yemen, and ways to support the government’s efforts to restore stability and improve services, were also discussed.
In both meetings, the two sides exchanged views on developments in the situation in Yemen and the region, and the efforts made to achieve peace and stability.
