The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Dr. Shaye’ al-Zindani, and his accompanying delegation arrived today in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to head the Yemeni delegation in the 162nd session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of Arab foreign ministers.
Yesterday, Sunday, Yemen assumed the presidency of the Council of the League of Arab States at the delegate level and at the ministerial level.
The Palestinian issue and the Arab-Israeli conflict are at the forefront of the session’s work, and the follow-up of political developments of the Palestinian issue and Israeli violations in the city of Jerusalem and the West Bank.
The agenda items also address Arab affairs, Arab national security, follow-up of the situation in Lebanon, Yemen, Libya, Somalia and Sudan, as well as Arab international cooperation, as well as joint Arab action including the report of the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States between the 161st and 162nd sessions. .
