Today, Saturday, the Saudi Ministry of Interior issued a statement regarding the implementation of a discretionary death sentence (death sentence) against two Yemeni nationals in the Najran region, revealing their crimes.
The Saudi Interior Ministry said in its statement: “Saqr Salem Abd Rabbuh Al-Ayashi and Muhammad Ali Ahmed Sarhan, both Yemeni nationals, smuggled and received the narcotic hashish, and thanks to God, the security authorities were able to arrest the two aforementioned perpetrators.”
The Ministry explained that the investigation with the accused resulted in “accusing them of committing the crime,” explaining that “by referring them to the competent court, a ruling was issued against them establishing what was attributed to them and killing them as a discretionary punishment, and the ruling became final after it was upheld by the Supreme Court, and a royal order was issued.” “By enforcing what is decided by law.”
The Interior Ministry continued: “The death sentence was carried out as a form of punishment against the perpetrators, Saqr Salem Abd Rabbuh Al-Ayashi and Muhammad Ali Ahmed Sarhan, of Yemeni nationality, on Saturday, Rabi’ al-Awwal 11, 1446 AH, corresponding to September 14, 2024, in the Najran region.”
The statement added: “The Ministry of the Interior announces this to confirm to everyone the keenness of the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to protect the security of citizens and residents from the scourge of drugs, and to impose the harshest penalties prescribed by law against their smugglers and promoters, due to the loss of innocent lives they cause, and gross corruption among youth, the individual, and society.” And a violation of their rights, and at the same time it warns everyone who does this that the legitimate punishment will be their fate, and God guides to the straight path
