The European Naval Mission "ESPEDS" announced that the operation to tow the ship MV SOUNION, which was attacked by the Houthi militia at the beginning of last month, had begun successfully after it had been on fire since it was targeted. 

The mission explained that the rescue operation for the ship Sounion is a complex operation consisting of several stages, as tug boats were successfully attached to the ship, and it is currently being towed to a safe place. 

Espedes added that European Union naval forces are providing protection for this operation, which contributes to enhancing maritime and environmental security in the region.
