In a move that reveals the Sultanate of Oman’s support for the Houthi group, the Mufti of Oman, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al-Khalili, praised the military capabilities of the Houthi militia and their attacks against Israel.

In a tweet on his account on the “X” platform, Al-Khalili expressed his pride in Yemen’s development of its military capabilities, which “destabilized the Zionist entity,” as he described it. He added: “Congratulations to brotherly Yemen for this progress.”

Al-Khalili ignored the legitimate, internationally recognized Yemeni government, referring to the Houthi group that controls part of northern Yemen as “brotherly Yemen.”

He also called for the unity of the Yemeni people to face the challenges.

This statement comes after a ballistic missile attack launched by the Houthi group on Israel, which sparked widespread reactions.
