An expanded meeting held today, Monday, in the capital, Aden, for court notaries and legal secretaries, headed by the Minister of Justice, Judge Badr Al-Arda, discussed the challenges facing notaries and legal secretaries and appropriate solutions to them.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Undersecretary for the Courts and Documentation Sector, Judge Abdul Karim Baabad, the Minister of Justice stressed the importance of the role played by notaries and legal secretaries in achieving justice and preserving rights... stressing the need to adhere to the law and be honest in performing the tasks assigned to them.
Al-Ardha pointed out the importance of enhancing community awareness of issues related to mixed marriage and the necessity of obtaining approval from the Ministry of Interior before taking any action by the Sharia Secretary, and that legal measures will be taken against violators.
With regard to documenting state lands, the Minister directed notaries not to carry out any documentation process except after communicating with the General Authority for Lands, Survey and Urban Planning and being informed by them in accordance with the law, pointing out that violation of this by any notary exposes him to legal accountability.
