The Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Mohsen Muhammad Al-Daari, discussed today, separately, with the British Military Attaché, Colonel Jonathan Frame, and the French Military Attaché, Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Judeh, the latest developments in the military situation and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the military, security and combating terrorism fields.
During the two meetings, developments in the field situation were reviewed in light of the Houthi terrorist militia’s attacks on armed forces positions on more than one front, and its continued terrorist attacks on commercial ships and international shipping lines.
The Minister of Defense reiterated the Iranian regime’s continued smuggling of weapons and military experts to the Houthi militia through the port of Hodeidah, pointing to the growing service and cooperation between the Houthi militia and the terrorist organizations Al-Qaeda and ISIS in an attempt to target the armed forces and disturb the peace in the liberated areas.
Lieutenant General Al-Daari stressed the need to support the capabilities of the armed forces to enable them to perform their tasks and responsibilities as an effective partner in achieving maritime security and combating terrorism.
The two meetings were attended by the head of the Intelligence and Reconnaissance Authority, Major General Ahmed Mohsen Al-Yafei, and our country’s military attaché in Riyadh, Brigadier General Yahya Al-Wael.
