Today, the Anti-Narcotics Department of the Security Belt Forces was able to arrest (9) people accused in several cases related to the promotion and use of drugs and hashish, in the capital, Aden.
The Director of the General Department of Narcotics Control in the Security Belt Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Mayas Haidara, said in: “Nine defendants were arrested in six drug cases, including the promotion and use of hashish and narcotic pills, in the capital, Aden.”
Lieutenant Colonel Haidara pointed out that: “The seizure operation carried out by the anti-narcotics team of the Belt Forces came after a careful investigation, monitoring and follow-up process, until the accused were caught red-handed with drugs.”
The Director of the General Administration for Combating Drugs confirmed that the Vice-President of the Southern Transitional Council and member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Brigadier General Abdul Rahman Al-Muharami, as well as the Commander-in-Chief of the Security Belt Forces, Brigadier General Mohsen bin Abdullah Al-Wali, are keen to arrest drug dealers of all kinds. And also those who follow those cases taking place in the field, and the importance of quickly transferring files to the specialized prosecution offices.”
Lieutenant Colonel Mayas Haidara called for the importance of intensifying religious awareness and continuous guidance on the danger of the scourge of drugs, in schools and mosques, during Friday sermons so that people realize the extent of the danger of drugs in our country.
Lieutenant Colonel Mayas noted that, in the coming days, large quantities of drugs and hashish will be destroyed, under the direct supervision of the competent prosecution.
