Southern journalist and politician Salah Al-Saqladi posted on his Facebook page a comment entitled “The Sting of Eid Night,” in which he sent a message to the people of the North, urging them not to rejoice in the differences between southerners.
Al-Saqladi pointed out that these disparities, which some in the north seek to incite, will not restore the “broken bone of unity” as they believe. He considered that the attempts of some to use these differences as a means of reviving unity are nothing but an “artificial respirator” for the unity that he described as “a whisper.”
Al-Saqladi concluded by saying that southerners may flog each other harshly, but they do not go to the point of insulting or killing each other, explaining that the disagreement remains in the means and not in the ends.
