An army statement explained, “A short while ago, sirens sounded in central Israel as a result of a missile being launched from Yemen towards Israeli territory,” and it was later announced that air defenses intercepted it.

On Saturday, a new Israeli raid targeted the southern suburb of Beirut, as a security source told Agence France-Presse, after Israel announced the “elimination” of Nasrallah.
The official National News Agency, for its part, reported “wounded people” in the raid that “targeted a building on Old Sidon Road in Mar Mikhael” in the southern suburb.
Israel launched a series of violent raids in various parts of Lebanon, especially in the southern suburb of Beirut, where it targeted a Hezbollah “security square,” causing destruction that hindered rescue efforts.
The Israeli army said that it targeted Hezbollah's central headquarters in Haret Hreik, and announced the killing of the party's leader, Hassan Nasrallah.
The Israeli army also announced the killing of a number of Hezbollah cadres in southern Lebanon, including the commander of the missile unit in the south and his deputy.
