The Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daari, met today, separately, with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Yemen, Zhao Zheng, and the Japanese Military Attache to Yemen, Soichiro Shimamura.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the situation in Yemen in light of the continued targeting of commercial ships and international shipping routes in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden by the terrorist Houthi militia, and the damage this poses to the global economy and threat to international peace and security.
Lieutenant General Al-Daari stressed that the stability of the region and the guarantee of freedom of maritime navigation comes with the support of the government and the armed forces to impose their control over the entire national territory... explaining that peace is not in the dictionary of the terrorist Houthi militia, which is accustomed to breaking covenants and disavowing agreements.
