The Hadhramaut National Council, which is close to Saudi Arabia and which was formed with its support, announced this evening the formation of its general secretariat and the nomination of the president and board of elders of the council, following the conclusion of the discussions held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, in continuation of the outcomes of the Hadhramaut consultations held last year, considering the Council is the holder of the Council. The politician who expresses the aspirations of Hadrami society, and which eliminates the role of other components.
Issam Habrish Al-Kathiri was appointed Secretary-General of the Hadhramaut National Council, Rifaat Salem Basarih, Assistant Secretary-General for Hadhramaut Coast and Plateau Affairs, and Jumaan Saeed bin Saad Assistant Secretary-General for Hadhramaut Valley and Desert Affairs, as well as the appointment of Al-Hakam Abdullah Mabrouk bin Hajjaj Al-Nahdi, Chairman of the Board of Elders of the Hadhramaut National Council.
Saudi Arabia established the council to be a parallel component of the Transitional Council, which is popular in Hadhramaut and outside it, for the purpose of blocking its movements.
