The Houthi militia, classified as terrorist, on Wednesday evening, October 9, 2024, targeted civilian objects in the town of Baja in the Hajar region, north of Al Dhalea, using tank shells.
Local sources reported that the Houthi bombing caused a state of panic among the population, as one of the shells fell amid a dense population gathering. She explained that the attack focused on the village with a number of tank shells, which led to a shell falling very close to the inhabited homes of citizens.
Sources confirmed that children who were playing next to their homes miraculously survived the attack.
The Houthi militia continues to bomb civilian objects in the areas of Hajar, Qataba, and Murais, north of Al Dhalea, causing many civilian casualties, most of them women and children. These actions come in the absence of any international deterrent to the peace process, amid mounting calls to put an end to these ongoing crimes.
