Yemeni politician Fahd Al-Sharafi commented on the air strikes that targeted Houthi weapons stores in Sanaa and Saada, stressing that they were “focused and purposeful.”
Al-Sharafi said in a tweet on the “X” platform that the strikes resulted in the destruction of a large stock of missiles, causing great confusion among the ranks of the Houthi group. He added that there are noticeable movements of some Houthi forces and missiles towards the Wadi Khalab border.
Al-Sharafi expected that the state of panic and confusion would continue among the Houthi militias if the air strikes continued, stressing that this would lead to heavy losses among their leaders and paralyze their terrorist movement.
The US Department of Defense announced on Thursday that the United States launched air strikes on Wednesday night using hidden B-2 strategic bombers on weapons storage facilities in Yemeni areas controlled by the Iran-backed Houthi group.
US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said in a statement, “American forces targeted a number of underground facilities belonging to the Houthis, which contain various weapons components of the same types that the Houthis used to target civilian and military ships throughout the country.
