The US Army announced the destruction of 20 drones and ground attack cruise missiles launched by the Houthi militia and other groups loyal to Iran, and carried out several attacks targeting Houthi capabilities during the past week.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on the “X” platform: “Last week, US Central Command (CENTCOM) forces succeeded in destroying 20 one-way offensive air systems (OWAUAS) and land-attack cruise missiles (LACMs) - which did not... Its number is determined in the US Central Command area of responsibility.
She added that the marches and missiles launched by the Houthis and armed groups loyal to Iran posed a great danger to the United States, its allies and partner forces, as well as civilians in the region and beyond.
She continued, "The drones and missiles were shot down by a group of US Air Force and Navy assets deployed in the region," while no members of the US forces were injured in these operations.
Separately, US Central Command forces said that last week they carried out a successful strike against a Houthi surface-to-air missile launcher and its associated radar, which posed a threat to US aircraft and coalition forces.
