The head of the National Movement for Correction and Construction, Bassem Fadl al-Shabi, called on Yemeni merchants and businessmen at home and abroad to contribute and work to establish an independent national bank for the poor in the capital, Aden.
The popular call comes on the occasion of one year since the announcement of the establishment of the National Movement for Correction and Construction, and in light of the difficult conditions that our people are experiencing in Aden, and the rest of the regions and cities under the control of the legitimate government, which are suffering from deteriorating economic conditions, as a result of the decline in the price of the local currency and the rise in prices. Goods, the faltering and low payment of salaries, and the stagnation of the private and free business market, which has exacerbated the levels of poverty among people in a frightening and disturbing way.
He said that it is necessary for there to be movements by merchants, businessmen, the private sector, national capital, and philanthropists, in a thoughtful, organized, and urgent manner, to contribute to alleviating the suffering of the people, and to ensure the continuation of life normally, in order to preserve the country from rupture, fragmentation, and war. .
Al-Shaabi stressed that the authorities failed miserably due to administrative and financial corruption, and the lack of alternative and innovative plans that turn challenges into successful opportunities, in order to preserve the state’s resources, the reasonable standard of living of the people, and correct the imbalances in the economic system, with the aim of restoring benefit from... Operating and revitalizing major economic institutions, such as Aden’s refineries, ports, airports, and others, and benefiting from the revenues of gold mines and other precious metals, in Hadramaut, Abyan, Lahj, and other liberated areas, to supply the state treasury and ensure stability and improvement of the economic situation.
Calling on Yemeni national capital and the private sector to intervene urgently and independently, in partnership and cooperation with all civil forces looking to correct the situation, and with effective state institutions, to contribute to saving the people and the country from imminent collapse.
