Al-Farah: From stranded on the battle fronts in Russia to stranded at Moscow airport

The humanitarian activist A. said: Yasser Al-Farah: After continuous efforts and pressure from activists and several parties to raise and move the issue of Yemeni youth stranded on the Russian-Ukrainian fighting fronts, and through our follow-up on this issue, we learned, thanks to God, of the departure of a group of 11 stranded people on October 28, 2024, to Moscow airport. To Muscat.
They bought their tickets with their money.. but unfortunately, when they arrived at the departure hall, they refused to let them in under the pretext of not receiving permits for their travel to Muscat from the Omani embassy. The reason, as the source says, is that the Yemeni embassy did not address the Omani ambassador in this regard, as was agreed upon in such cases. As happened with the issue of Yemenis stranded between Russia and Belarus in recent years, but the address was to the Omani consulate, which does not have the decision to make this statement in such cases agreed upon between the two embassies, and now these young men are at the Moscow airport from last night to the present day and they have lost the value of their tickets.
Here I appeal to the Yemeni Embassy in Russia, represented by Ambassador Ahmed Al-Wahishi, to quickly resolve this issue in obtaining exit permits for these young people so that they can leave for the sisterly state of Oman and to activate the communication mechanism with the sisterly Omani Embassy in this regard to encourage and facilitate the departure of the rest, God willing, in the future.
