Yemeni military sources revealed forced displacement operations carried out by the Houthi militia against civilians from several areas in Hodeidah Governorate, overlooking the waters of the Red Sea, as part of the escalation taking place in the western coast areas of...
The spokesman for the joint Yemeni forces on the west coast, Colonel Waddah Al-Dubaish, said that the Houthis asked residents of the areas south of the city of Hodeidah, the center of the governorate, to leave their homes and areas, and migrate to other places.
He added to "Erm News" that the evictions and forced displacement operations target residents of the southwestern neighborhoods near the village of "Manzhar" in Al-Hawk District, and the coastal towns of Al-Durayhimi District, all the way to the "Al-Nakhila" area south of the district, and then the southwestern gate to the city of Hodeidah. .
Al-Dubaish indicated that the Houthis informed civilians that their residential areas are considered combat zones against the “American enemy,” which they say is preparing to carry out naval landing operations in areas south of Hodeidah.
He explained that during the past few days, the Houthis dug a wide series of tunnels, trenches and basements, cutting off roads and opening water tunnels in a large way, in preparation for evacuating these areas of any population presence, as some of them are purely military areas, which imposes a state of terror among civilians for fear of photographing or reporting. Details of the movements.
Last Sunday, the Houthi militia carried out a naval and land tactical military maneuver in the waters of the Red Sea and areas of Hodeidah Governorate, simulating its response to four hypothetical land and sea attack waves, in which enemy ships and warships participated.
Eradicating the Houthi presence
According to Houthi media, the maneuvers confirm the Houthis' readiness to face "any risks and challenges the stage requires, even if the Americans resort to a landing operation on Yemeni territory."
During the past few days, the Houthi militia warned of an upcoming military operation led by the United States, in coordination with local government forces, to uproot the Houthi presence on the western coasts of the country, in light of the increasing threats to international trade corridors in the Red Sea.
Colonel Wadah Al-Dubaish believes that the “absurd” maneuvers reflect the state of anxiety and fear that has become afflicting the Houthis, in light of the international trend to trim the nails on Iranian arms in the region, and the international community’s conviction of the danger of the Houthi militia and the necessity of eradicating it and removing its harm.
This comes more than a week after the Chamber of Commerce in Sanaa, through its page on the Facebook platform, directed merchants and container owners to remove their containers from the port of Hodeidah urgently, before returning and warning of the presence of a large state of congestion in the port areas.< /p>
The director of the International Agency for Press and Strategic Studies, Jamal Al-Awadi, believes that the city of Hodeidah “may become a base for protecting global navigation and international interests under the auspices of the United States and Britain, and far from Title Seven.”
He said in a blog post on the “X” platform that this will be done without any ground landing of Western forces in Hodeidah, but rather by strengthening the joint Yemeni forces on the west coast, and supporting them by air to liberate Hodeidah, which will be the beginning of liberating Sana’a from the Houthis
