Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak confirmed that the continued use of the United Nations and the international community in the same way with the terrorist Houthi militia, and turning a blind eye to its violations and crimes, which amounted to campaigns of repression, kidnapping, and abuse against UN and international employees, will not lead to achieving peace.< /p>
The Prime Minister, upon receiving today, Wednesday, in the capital, Aden, the Deputy Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen, Sarhad Fattah, and his accompanying delegation, affirmed the Yemeni government’s support for the efforts of the UN envoy and for all international and regional efforts aimed at ending the war and achieving peace.
Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, from the Deputy UN Envoy, listened to a briefing on the results of recent movements at the national, regional and international levels in order to reduce the escalation, and the priorities for the next stage, to revive the political process, which the Houthi militia overturned with the support of the Iranian regime.< /p>
The Houthi militia’s continued obstruction of the implementation of economic understandings and its repercussions on the catastrophic humanitarian situation and the responsibilities of the United Nations were also discussed.
The Prime Minister reiterated the government’s position and its positive engagement with all regional and international efforts to reach a comprehensive political settlement based on the references agreed upon locally and supported regionally and internationally... stressing the importance of the international community’s continued unity regarding the Yemeni issue, and listening to the aspirations of the Yemeni people for stability and peace. .
