The attendees included council members Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, Sultan Al-Arada, Tariq Saleh, Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi, Othman Majali, and Faraj Al-Bahsani, while Abdul Rahman Al-Muharrami was absent with an excuse.
The meeting discussed the repercussions of the Houthi attacks on oil installations and international shipping lines, in addition to reviewing the situation in Hadhramaut Governorate and taking appropriate decisions.
A Alimi gave a briefing on his regional and international meetings and his meetings in the capital, Aden, with the government, the Economic Crisis Management Committee, and the chambers of commerce. Emphasis was placed on plans to strengthen the national currency and secure basic goods.
Council members provided brief briefings on the tasks assigned to them, while reviewing government reports on economic and monetary developments.
The Council affirmed its commitment to alleviating the burden of living conditions and strengthening unity to confront the Houthi militias. He also renewed his support for economic reforms in coordination with Saudi Arabia and the UAE, praising their role in supporting the state.
The Council also addressed the Israeli escalation in Palestine and Lebanon, welcoming Saudi Arabia’s call to hold a joint Arab-Islamic summit and its support for the two-state solution. The Council affirmed Yemen's firm position in supporting the rights of the Palestinian people and Lebanese sovereignty.
Emphasizing the government's commitment to transparency and accountability, the Council stressed the importance of adhering to the timetables and organizational procedures set to ensure that the electoral process proceeds transparently and fairly.
