The Hadhramaut Tribal Alliance issued a statement this evening, November 2, 2024, expressing its categorical rejection of the arbitrary decision taken against the Military Police Commander, Brigadier General Salem Basloum, and his removal from his position.
The statement stressed that these random decisions of an arbitrary nature are considered a clear and intentional transgression to target Hadhramaut cadres who are known for their skill and competence.
The Hadhramaut Tribal Alliance indicated that the insistence of the concerned authorities on implementing these decisions will have negative repercussions on reality.
The alliance affirmed its respect for the civil and military system and law, while emphasizing the lack of discrimination between Hadrami military cadres.
The alliance considered that these decisions fall within the framework of robbing the Hadrami decision according to plans with systematic dimensions.
In addition, informed sources in the city of Mukalla revealed that the Commander of the Military Police, Brigadier General Salem Basloum, had rejected the decision of the Chairman of the Presidential Command Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, to remove him from his position, considering that this decision relates to Hadhramaut and must be taken by the leadership of the Hadhrami Elite Forces.
p>The sources reported that Brigadier General Basloum demanded that any appointment be issued by an official decision from Hadhramaut and not from outside it through unilateral decisions, stressing the necessity of not involving the Military Police Brigade in any political or military calculations or implementing personal agendas.
The sources also explained that the brigade commander had issued instructions to the brigade leadership to reject the decision and not deal with it, which reflects the tensions caused by Al-Alimi’s decision.
