The Israeli army announced today, Friday, the interception of a missile launched from Yemen into the southern region, after sirens sounded, while the Yemeni Houthi group confirmed that it had targeted the Nevatim air base in southern Israel.
Israeli media said that sirens sounded at dawn today in the Dead Sea region and north of Eilat, southern Israel.
On the other hand, the Houthi group announced that it had targeted the Nevatim Air Base in southern Israel with a hypersonic missile, which is one of the most prominent air bases in the Negev Desert.
The military spokesman for the Houthis, Yahya Saree, said in a statement he read in front of a solidarity demonstration with Palestine and Lebanon in the capital, Sana’a, that our forces “carried out a qualitative military operation targeting the Nevatim air base in the Negev region, southern occupied Palestine, with a Palestine 2 hypersonic ballistic missile.”
