According to the government Saba Agency, the Council of Ministers discussed a draft agreement to establish a joint telecommunications company to provide mobile telecommunications and Internet services in Yemen, in light of the draft signed between the General Telecommunications Corporation and an Emirati company, and what it includes in granting a license to provide mobile phone services and operating and licensing the frequency spectrum. .
In light of the discussions, the Council of Ministers approved the draft agreements presented, after absorbing the comments presented to them, and submitted them to the Presidential Leadership Council.
The Ministers of Communications, Information Technology and Legal Affairs presented to the Council the draft agreement and its contents in the technical, technical, financial and economic aspects, and its economic feasibility studies, and its reliance on the applicable laws and regulations and the investment law.
