The British Maritime Trade Operations Authority said in a statement that a commercial ship passing near Yemen received an order to change course about 57 nautical miles southwest of Aden.
It is noteworthy that the Houthis have targeted more than 150 commercial ships with missiles and drones since the start of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip in October.
In the context of the war, since last November, the Houthis have continued to launch attacks with missiles and drones in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea, which began first on commercial ships that they consider to be linked to Israel or heading to its ports. They say that this comes in support of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip in light of the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas since October 7th.
They later began to announce the launching of missiles and drones towards Israel during the past months.
