A Yemeni academic revealed an illegal cloning operation that affected his personality. During his return from China via the Sultanate of Oman, he was surprised to be arrested and informed by the Omani security authorities that he was actually in the Sultanate.
The academic Dr. said. Abdul Karim Al-Afeiri said yesterday that he was surprised, during his return from China to the Sultanate of Oman, by the Omani authorities’ response to his request for a visa, stating that the person mentioned in his passport data is actually present on its territory.
Al-Afeeri added that after several attempts, it became clear that the Houthis They assume the names of personalities, forge documents in their names, and travel with them abroad.
Al-Afeiri wrote on his Facebook page, saying: “An incident happened to me during our visit to China in March 2023 as part of the delegation of the Yemen Renaissance Movement. Upon our return, we, ten people from the delegation, decided to return via the Sultanate of Oman, and we actually applied for a visa, and surprisingly... The competent security authorities in Oman, after agreeing to my colleagues, responded to my request by stating that the aforementioned person (meaning me) is in the Sultanate of Oman. Basically, with the same full name, the same passport number, and the same photo, even though I had never entered the Sultanate of Oman before.”
He went on to say: “We contacted the agency that follows up on the issue of visas, and the response was consistent with the response of the Omani authorities. I did not lose hope and contacted brother Bashir Al-Jazimi Abu Salma, who assigned himself to go to the competent authorities, and their response to him did not differ from what they responded to us with, and after that I reached news that was not I believe him that the Houthis are impersonating the names of figures affiliated with the legitimate government, forging documents in their names, and traveling with them to countries where passport holders are allowed Issued by the Houthi militias to enter them, including Amman.”
He continued: “I changed my travel destination and followed parties and personalities in Amman but did not achieve any results. Perhaps I was not convinced that my identity was being impersonated despite my concern about that. Today, in talking about the forgery of documents that were revealed on social media sites, I became certain of that.”
p>He concluded by calling on “the Yemeni Embassy in Amman, the Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the relevant authorities to uncover the circumstances of this incident.”
