The Israeli army said on Wednesday that it had deployed gunboats in the Red Sea as part of military reinforcements, after the Houthi group in Yemen yesterday launched a large batch of ballistic and winged missiles and drones at various targets in Israel in response to its ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army published pictures showing SAR-class corvettes patrolling near the port of Eilat on the Red Sea, which Israel considers a new front in its war on Gaza following the Al-Aqsa Flood operation launched by the Palestinian resistance on the 7th of last October.

The Houthis vowed yesterday to continue launching missiles and drones towards Israel until the aggression against the besieged sector stops, announcing that they have so far launched 3 military operations against Israel.

The Israeli army reported earlier that it had infiltrated an enemy aircraft, which led to the sounding of sirens in the city of Eilat, located in southern Israel and overlooking the Red Sea. It later announced the interception of a surface-to-surface missile launched from the Red Sea region.
