A citizen burned himself during a Houthi event, yesterday, Friday, in Al-Sabeen Square in the center of the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, in protest against the group’s looting of lands belonging to him.
Media and local sources said that "Abdul Ghani Al-Razhi", a resident of Saada Governorate, and a leader in the Houthi "Death Brigades", set fire to his body during a weekly Houthi demonstration in Sana'a, in protest against the confiscation of his land by the Endowments Authority of the group supported by Iran.
The sources added that demonstrators were able to put out the fire, as the man suffered various burns and was subsequently transferred to the hospital.
Activists on social media circulated a video recording of the man calling out “Abdul Majeed Al-Houthi,” who is accused of plundering his land, before setting his body on fire.
