Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, met today, Sunday, with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sheikh Sultan Al-Barakani, and two members of the Council’s Presidency, Engineer Muhammad Al-Shaddadi and Dr. Mohsen Basra, to discuss the latest developments in the political, economic, and service situations, and the measures required to strengthen the role of state institutions.
During the meeting, Al-Alimi reviewed local developments, including economic conditions, fluctuations in exchange rates and basic commodities, and efforts made to accelerate the implementation of the economic rescue plan. He also presented the results of his recent meetings with regional allies and international partners to strengthen the position of the national currency and secure basic services and goods.
Alimi praised the support of the Legitimacy Support Coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, stressing the importance of this support in securing employee salaries and basic services for millions of Yemenis.
