The German police arrested the son of the Secretary-General of the Islah Party, Ammar Al-Ansi. Sources at the Yemeni embassy in Germany reported that the German police’s arrest of Ammar Al-Ansi came against the backdrop of monitoring his receipt of nearly a million dollars from Yemen, explaining that Al-Ansi admitted that the amount he received was for projects belonging to his father in Morocco. It includes apartments and residential buildings.
Earlier today, German police raided Al-Ansi Al-Saghir's apartment and arrested him, where he is still under investigation, according to diplomatic sources that confirmed his arrest.

Al-Ansi Sr. is one of the most prominent Islah leaders who received billions of dollars, especially for the resistance in the Yemen war, before it became clear to Saudi Arabia that it was being subjected to a process of plunder and attrition by the party’s leaders, who were later displaced by the Houthi group to Türkiye.
The transfer to Al-Ansi Al-Saghir came after media reports revealed that the party had received about two million dollars from the United States in exchange for forming a marginal political bloc in Aden as part of restoring the party to the forefront of the scene in Yemen.
