Member of the Presidential Command Council, Major General Aidaroos Qasim Al-Zubaidi, discussed today, Wednesday, with the Korean Ambassador to Yemen, Bong Kae-do, aspects of joint cooperation and ways to strengthen bilateral relations in a way that serves the common interests of the two friendly countries.
During the meeting, developments in the humanitarian situation in Yemen were reviewed in light of the suffering that the Yemeni people are experiencing as a result of the Houthi militias’ continued escalation against maritime shipping lines, their targeting of oil export ports, and the efforts made to stop the war, achieve peace, and establish stability in our country and the region.< /p>
Major General Al-Zubaidi praised the positive role played by Korea in supporting Yemen in various fields, especially in light of the difficult circumstances the country is going through. He expressed his aspiration for a greater Korean role in supporting the development path in Yemen in the near future.
For his part, the Korean ambassador affirmed his country’s support for efforts to achieve peace in Yemen, and its readiness to continue providing development and humanitarian aid, and to support training and qualification programs for young capabilities and competencies in technical and technical institutes, enabling them to keep pace with rapid technological developments in various fields.
