This morning, Wednesday, the Land Protection Unit carried out a massive removal campaign for slums in the Sheikh District in Aden. 

The Land Protection Unit accompanied the Sheriff of Sheikh Othman District, Dr. Wissam Muawiyah, and the Obstacles Department of the same Directorate during the implementation of the removal campaign that targeted random kiosks and stalls in the project’s managed area east of the Sheikh District.

The head of the Obstacles Department (Riyad) confirmed that the campaign was implemented after prior notices were given to the violators to remove their stands and kiosks, but they did not respond to that.

 It is worth mentioning that the broad campaign that targeted random areas was in the presence of Dr. Wissam Muawiyah, the sheriff of Sheikh Othman District, who personally supervised the implementation of the campaign.

For his part, the Commander of the Land Protection Unit, Lieutenant Colonel Kamal Al-Halmi, said that the removal campaigns are continuing and that the directives are clear to support the competent authorities to fight all random phenomena that have harmed the aesthetic appearance of Aden.
